Use Cases

Office

Collect data during a typical 8-hour day, to establish a baseline air quality report, and on-going improvements reporting. No distractions or alerts, GN-AMB-RD traffic lights only; data will be downloaded to a PC for presentation in a formal report to be published to management, interested parties and/or the wider community.

SENSORS: NOISE–PARTICULATES–CO2

Factory

Collect data during a typical 8-hour day, to monitor and maintain a safe environment. Instruments would typically be worn by one or more personnel. A risk of particles in the air and noise from one or more processes that would be dangerous to personnel if present. Audible alarm and flashing LED required as Users need to be alerted to an immediate issue. Data can be downloaded to a PC for monitoring trends and H&S records.

Construction

Collect data during a typical 8-hour day, to monitor and maintain a safe environment. Instruments would typically be worn by one or more personnel. A risk of dust in the air from construction or demolition, noise from the machinery presents a risk to hearing loss and gases from land-fill sites. Audible alarm / flashing LED are required to alert the User to an immediate issue. Data can be downloaded to a PC for monitoring trends and H&S records.

SENSORS: NOISE–PARTICULATES–GASES

Marine

Immediate protection for inspection personnel against dangerous gases that build up in a hold. Fixed sensors may over-load and not register a high overload, whilst personal monitors will give early warning of danger. Audible alarm and flashing LED are required as Users need to be alerted to an immediate issue.

SENSORS: NOISE–PARTICULATES–GASES

Server Room

Immediate protection for service and fire personnel against the potential loss of oxygen in an enclosed space due to leaking or malfunctioning fire systems. Instruments would typically be worn by one or more personnel. Audible alarm and flashing LED are required as Users need to be alerted to an immediate issue. Data can be downloaded to a PC for monitoring trends and H&S records.

SENSORS: NOISE–02

Mining

Underground mines can accumulate dangerous gases like methane, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulphide. Gas detectors help ensure the safety of miners by alerting them to hazardous gas concentrations. Audible alarm and flashing LED are required as Users need to be alerted to an immediate issue. Data can be downloaded to a PC for monitoring trends and H&S records.
